As members brought more knowledge and experience, the number of financial programs increased. Members demonstrate the programs they use to assist in making investment decisions. The SIG will begin studying Server 2008 on September 5th, using the Microsoft Self-Paced Training books. Over the next year, the SIG will review the three books preparing for the exams leading to the Server 2008 Administrator certification. These provide a good survey of Server 2008, even though many SIG members are interested only in learning about Server 2008 rather than taking the exams. There are several programs used by SIG members, in particular "Cubase" and "Ableton Live". Cubase is a series of MIDI, music sequencer and digital audio editing computer applications, created by the German firm Steinberg. It offers recording, producing and mixing of sounds in order to make music production for distribution on CDs or the internet.
