HALNet Texas phone numbers are changing
HALNet has two telephone line providers for dial-up service. One of them, PacWest, has decided to get out of the business. Consequentially, all PacWest phone numbers will be disconnected by them on Monday, June 7; if you try to connect using one of those numbers on or after that date, you will probably get a busy signal. Replacement numbers are already in service. Subscribers using any of the old numbers listed below need to change their dial-up programs to use one of the new numbers, also below. Please do it now while you can still access the HALNet help pages. The new numbers are already active. Nothing else will change.
Instructions on how to make the change can be found at this location:

there is a link called "Setting Up My Connection". After clicking on this link select the operating system appropriate for your computer listed under "Setup Instructions".
The HALNet Nationwide Access Number Locator page at http://office.hal-pc.org/popfinder/ will be updated soon, until then please check any Texas numbers against this list.
